Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

• Answers, screens and processes a high volume of calls in a professional manner. Uses scripts to triage calls and determine appointment type, provider and urgency.
• Uses scheduling system to schedule appointments and updates patient demographics.
• Obtains necessary referrals and documents payer information including workers' compensation and auto liability.
• Informs patient of necessary preparation for scheduled visit and required tests/procedures.
• Coordinates data sets for efficient scheduling and resolves scheduling issues with supervisor.
