Qualifications

• 1-3 years related work experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and make independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and explains the registration process to patients.
• Processes patient co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; safeguards cash and reconciles cash drawer.
• Completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage accordingly.
• Obtains signatures on consent and financial forms; scans and records documents.
• Counsels patients regarding non-covered services and ABNs; verifies required signatures.
• Maintains a neat, secure registration desk and protects confidential information.
• Initiates and manages patient scheduling through phone, digital messaging, and queues.
• Verifies insurance and guarantor information; communicates financial clearance status to patients.
