Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of related experience.
• Strong customer service skills and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to perform non-complex arithmetic.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and calls.

Responsibilities

• Receive and screen visitors and calls, providing information per policies.
• Schedule patient appointments and enter demographic and insurance data.
• Verify insurance and obtain referrals as needed before visits.
• Assist patients with MyChart registration.
• Manage high volume of calls and route to providers.
• Handle incoming faxes and route results to appropriate staff.
• Check in patients, verify insurance, collect and scan IDs and insurance cards.
• Coordinate referrals and preauthorization for procedures.
