Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a Service Center Representative to serve as the vital link between patients and their care team. You will answer patient calls, schedule appointments, support care access, and handle each interaction with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities include verifying insurance and registrations, assisting with MyChart, coordinating referrals and authorizations, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; coursework in insurance/billing or medical practice education preferred.
• Previous experience in patient services, medical reception, or medical call/customer service is required.
• Healthcare call center experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients by phone.
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Answer questions, route calls appropriately, and relay messages to clinical staff.
• Verify patient registration and insurance information.
• Assist patients with MyChart and other patient portal support.
• Support referrals, authorizations, and patient outreach activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Partner with providers and office teams to create a seamless patient experience.
