Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Southeast Michigan seeks a Service Center Representative to be the frontline connection between patients and their care team. You will answer patient calls, coordinate appointments, verify insurance information, and support MyChart portal usage with compassion and professionalism.

You will work in a day-time, full-time role with a patient-service focus, helping patients navigate scheduling, referrals, and outreach activities while maintaining accurate records

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; coursework in insurance/billing or medical practice preferred.
• No licensure required.
• Experience in patient services, medical reception, or medical call center/customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients by phone.
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Answer questions, route calls, and relay messages to clinical staff.
• Verify patient registration and insurance information.
• Assist patients with MyChart and other patient portal support.
• Support referrals, authorizations, and patient outreach activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Partner with providers and office teams to create a seamless patient experience.
