Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking a Pre-Services Coordinator to deliver exceptional patient service by handling scheduling, pre-registration, and cost discussions. This role emphasizes accurate data entry, insurance knowledge, and compassionate communication with patients navigating care costs.

Responsibilities include registering patients, collecting demographics and billing details, explaining estimates, and supporting timely scheduling while maintaining compliance and care quality.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
• 1-3 years' experience in registration and scheduling; 1-3 years of customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of computer applications; Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Call, schedule, pre-register, explain estimates, and collect on patient accounts; collaborate to manage call volume.
• Confirm surgery appointment with patient after authorization and estimate.
• Create Medical Record numbers and enter registration information.
• Collect demographic and billing information professionally.
• Explain patient estimates and insurance coverage to patients.
• Train and serve as a coach to new staff as assigned.
• Participate in compliance and documentation related to scheduling.
