Job summary

Mercy Medical Center is hiring an intern to support patient access and front-office activities. You will contact patients via phone, text, email, and Epic to schedule appointments, and document interactions in the system with care and professionalism.

The role focuses on basic office functions, accurate data collection, and maintaining a positive patient experience in line with Mercy’s care philosophy.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate using multiple tools—phone, email, Epic Software.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic office functions to facilitate patient access into the practice.
• Contact patients via phone, Epic, text and/or email to schedule appointments.
• Document attempts in Epic and other software per protocols.
• Schedule patient appointments according to practice protocol.
