Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Intern to support patient access and front desk operations. You will help gather accurate information, schedule appointments, and ensure a welcoming office environment aligned with Mercy’s mission.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or is currently enrolled, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate across phone, email, and Epic Software to coordinate patient care and workflow.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or be enrolled in HS.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to communicate using multiple tools—phone, email, Epic Software.
• Ability to document attempts and coordinate scheduling per protocol.
• Strong scheduling skills for patient appointments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient access by collecting accurate information and creating a positive office image.
• Contact patients via phone, Epic, texting or email to schedule appointments.
• Document scheduling attempts in appropriate software and follow protocol.
