Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of education may substitute for one year of work experience.
• Healthcare customer service experience preferred; IDX/GE Centricity knowledge preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and coordinates efficient flow through the practice or department.
• Registers patients, verifies insurance, and explains patient financial responsibilities.
• Schedules appointments and processing tests requisitions as applicable.
• Answers phones, triages calls, and prioritizes messages.
• Prepares and updates forms and records; scans and indexes records.
• Contacts patients regarding missed appointments and tracks no-shows.
• Performs checkout with timely patient charges and data entry.
• Supports new technology and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborates with providers and staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
