Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative for an on-site role. You will support the patient experience by registering patients, handling co-pays, eligibility, scheduling, and ensuring accurate demographics and insurance data to enable proper reimbursement.

In a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will greet patients, explain processes, protect confidentiality, and coordinate with clinical departments to maintain smooth registration flow and high-quality service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and using computer systems.
• Call center or patient service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for visits and explain the registration process.
• Process co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; reconcile cash drawer.
• Complete Medicare/other insurance questionnaires and verify eligibility.
• Obtain signatures on consent and financial forms; ensure documentation is scanned.
• Counsel patients on non-covered services and ABNs; communicate financial clearance.
