Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years in related work; experience with computer systems including web-based apps and MS Office.
• Skills: able to work in fast-paced multi-task environment; accurate data processing.
• Preferred: Call center or telephone customer service; strong typing 40+wpm; medical terminology; bilingual communication; EHR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients for visits and explains the process.
• Processes co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; reconciles cash drawer.
• Completes the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage.
• Obtains signatures on forms; scans and records documents collected during registration.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs.
• Maintains confidentiality and secure registration desk.
• Schedules appointments, reschedules, and cancels using multiple sources.
