Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Access Scheduling Agent to serve as the front door for patients needing care. You will manage scheduling across multiple clinics, collect demographics and insurance details, and ensure timely access to services with excellent patient service.

The role emphasizes strong communication, accurate data handling, and coordination with care teams. A non-exempt, full-time schedule supports a weekday day-shift environment, with potential signing bonus

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree preferred in business or healthcare field.
• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Strong intrapersonal and communication skills.
• Previous scheduling or phone customer service experience preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls to schedule patient appointments across clinics.
• Make outbound calls to schedule appointments with specialists.
• Collect demographics, insurance data, and payment responsibility.
• Secure medical records from external providers as needed.
• Schedule in-office procedures and reserve rooms as required.
