Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is hiring a Patient Access Scheduling Agent who serves as the front door to care, handling inbound calls and scheduling appointments across multiple clinics and campuses.

You will gather patient demographics and insurance information, coordinate scheduling for in-office procedures, and ensure timely access to services while upholding our Standards of Respect and patient‑centered service.

Qualifications

• English speaking, reading and writing skills required.
• Strong intrapersonal and communication abilities.
• Preferred experience in scheduling or customer service in health care.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls to schedule patient appointments across clinics.
• Make outbound calls to schedule appointments with specialists.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Coordinate scheduling of in-office procedures and rooms.
• Secure medical records as needed to support care delivery.
