Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Access Scheduling Agent in Worcester, MA. The role serves as the front door for patients, handling scheduling across clinics and ensuring accessibility to the right provider at the right time.

The position requires a high school diploma and strong communication skills; an associate degree in a related field is preferred. A signing bonus may be offered, and the schedule is Monday–Friday with a 9:30–6:00 shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree preferred in business or healthcare.
• English speaking, reading and writing required; strong communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls from patients and providers to schedule appointments across multiple clinics and campuses.
• Make outbound calls to schedule appointments with specialists.
• Collect demographics, insurance information and liabilities prior to service.
• Obtain medical records as needed to support care, when required.
• Schedule in-office procedures and coordinate room availability.
