UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Patient Access Scheduling Agent to be the front door for patients seeking care. You will schedule appointments across multiple clinics, coordinate with providers and ensure accurate patient information is collected for billing and records.

The role requires strong English communication and interpersonal skills; prior scheduling or health-care experience is preferred.

Formación

• English speaking, reading and writing skills required.
• Strong intrapersonal and communication skills required.
• Preferred: scheduling/phone customer service experience.

Responsabilidades

• Handle inbound calls to schedule patient appointments across multiple clinics.
• Make outbound calls to schedule appointments with specialists.
• Collect demographics, insurance information and account guarantor; verify and update information.
• Coordinate medical records from outside organizations to ensure provider has necessary information.
• Schedule in-office procedures and assign rooms.
