Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Access Scheduling Agent to act as the front door for patients, ensuring timely access to care and accurate scheduling across multiple clinics. You will handle incoming calls, assist with appointments, verify demographics and insurance, and coordinate records to support provider readiness.

The role requires strong English communication and interpersonal skills, with preferred healthcare scheduling experience and potential signing bonus.

Qualifications

• English speaking, reading and writing skills.
• Strong intrapersonal and communication skills.
• Bilingual skills preferred (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls to schedule patient appointments across multiple clinics.
• Make outbound calls to schedule appointments with specialists.
• Collect patient demographics and insurance information and secure balances prior to or at service.
• Obtain medical records from outside providers as needed for visits.
• Schedule in-office procedures and reserve rooms for procedures.
