Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Patient Access Representative to manage patient registration across outpatient and Emergency Department locations. Responsibilities include identifying patients, entering orders, verifying insurances and collecting payments, with cross-site travel as needed.

Strong customer service, computer experience, and knowledge of medical terminology are essential. Familiarity with Epic systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and validate patients in hospital information system to ensure accurate electronic medical records.
• Cross-train in all areas of location or region, including outpatient and ED areas.
• Greet and direct patients and visitors, provide friendly and courteous service.
• Route questions about facility and services to the appropriate department.
• Promote MyChart patient portal and self-service capabilities.
• Coordinate with SLPG practices, clinical/diagnostic departments and revenue cycle teams to support patient care and payment.
