Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage patient registration in outpatient and Emergency Department locations, ensuring accurate demographics and real-time insurance verification.

This role requires excellent customer service and familiarity with health information systems. The position involves coordinating with SLUHN practices and clinical/diagnostic departments, with possible travel between campuses and regional sites; evenings and part-time

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required.
• Insurance background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Health information system (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients accurately and complete registration screens.
• Verify insurance information and eligibility in real time.
• Handle pre-reg and post-reg needs, data entry and diagnoses.
• Coordinate with clinics, departments and revenue cycle for smooth visits.
• Promote MyChart and patient self-service to improve engagement.
