Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI seeks a Patient Access Representative - Hospital (Finance) to enter and verify patient demographic and insurance information, identify and collect financial obligations, and register or admit patients. The position is 70% FTE, 28 hours weekly, daytime shift Monday–Wednesday and every other Sunday at University Hospital.

The role emphasizes compassionate customer service, strong communication, and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
• Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management or related field Preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service-related field Required.
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare, call center, business, financial or insurance related field Preferred.
