Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center seeks a Representative I to deliver patient-focused customer service and handle registration and insurance verification. Qualifications

• Entry level position with minimum one year of customer service experience.
• PAR I role: basic patient access tasks and cross training in Pre-Service, ED or Bed Desk.
• PAR II role: hospital registration or insurance verification experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused customer service and information to hospital users, patients, families and physicians.
• Perform outpatient and inpatient registration and insurance verification functions.
• Collect patient financial liability payments and verify eligibility and pre-certifications.
• Explain insurance benefits and assist patients with financial requirements.
