Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group is seeking a Representative I for night shifts at Davenport. You will perform outpatient and inpatient registration, insurance verification, and collect patient financial liability while ensuring Medicare/ payer requirements are met.

Daily responsibilities include providing information to patients, families and physician offices, analyzing eligibility, and supporting revenue cycle through accurate data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Patient Access experience preferred.
• Two years hospital registration or insurance verification experience preferred (PAR II).
• Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic and procedural coding.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused customer service.
• Perform outpatient and/or inpatient registration and insurance verification.
• Collect patient financial liability payments and ensure financial eligibility (Medicare, payer pre-certifications, referrals).
• Provide general information to patients, families and physician offices.
