Responsibilities

• Registers patients at multiple locations and verifies demographics and insurance information.
• Interacts with other areas to provide information on patient delays and schedule changes.
• Verifies patient eligibility for insurance coverage and computes patient dues per policy.
• Negotiates payment arrangements with patients as needed.
• May perform cashiering duties following established policies.
• Assists patients to nursing units with directions and mobility assistance.
• Ensures compliance with cash policy, government payors, and proper patient identification.
