Krystal Biotech is seeking a Patient Access Liaison to work in the field, educating patients and healthcare providers on payer access, prior authorization, and appeals. You will partner with patients, caregivers, and sites of care to facilitate access to therapy and support ongoing adherence.

The role requires 5+ years in patient services or reimbursement, willingness to travel 30–50%, and strong knowledge of HIPAA and FDA regulations.

Formación

• BS/BA degree required.
• 5+ years field-based experience in patient services, field reimbursement, biopharma sales or account management with at least 1 year working directly with patients/families providing education and access support.
• Orphan or Rare disease experience working directly with patients/caregivers.
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and FDA regulations.
• Ability to travel between 30%-50%.

Responsabilidades

• Educate patients and office staff on payer access and insurance processes, including specific payer requirements for authorization.
• Help patients and staff find sites of care options closer to home and options for home dosing.
• Navigate office and SOC staff to identify the appropriate personnel who support coverage and access needs.
• Provide education on affordability options including copay assistance and patient assistance programs (PAP).
• Provide non-medical, educational support including what to expect when initiating therapy.
• Prepare patients and help coordinate the next appointment and treatment.
• Develop trusted relationships with patients and caregivers via phone, text, email, virtual or in person connections.
• Follow a planned educational and support program to optimize adherence to prescribed therapy.
• Provide proactive education to large centers, community prescribers and sites of care regarding billing and coding requirements for product and professional services.
• Work compliantly within Krystal patient CRM/Workflow system to document case progress and complete tasks.
