Job summary

Krystal Biotech is seeking a Field-based Patient Access Liaison who educates patients and care teams on payer access, approvals, and logistics for gene therapies. The role involves close collaboration with HCPs, care sites, and specialty pharmacy partners to ensure timely access and ongoing adherence.

The PAL will travel regionally (30-50%), build trusted relationships, and provide non-medical educational support to patients and caregivers while maintaining compliance in Krystal’s CRM systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in patient services, field reimbursement, biopharma sales or account management.
• Travel willingness of 30-50% to support field activities.
• Ability to work in a team and lead communications with internal teams, specialty partners, and field staff.
• Response to inquiries within 24 hours to prevent treatment lapses.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on payer access and insurance processes.
• Assist patients in locating care sites and home dosing options.
• Develop relationships with patients and caregivers via multiple communication channels.
• Provide education on affordability options and patient assistance programs.
• Coordinate next appointments and treatment logistics with care teams.
• Document case progress in Krystal patient CRM/Workflow system.
• Collaborate with specialty pharmacy partners to ensure therapy access.
• Support site staff with billing and product procurement education.
