Job summary

The Patient Access Liaison (PAL) at Krystal Biotech will work in a field-based capacity across a defined geographic region to educate patients and providers on therapy access, prior authorizations, and appeals. You will partner with specialty pharmacies and distributors to support ongoing adherence and logistical needs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in patient services or reimbursement, experience with rare diseases, HIPAA/FDA familiarity, and willingness to travel 30–50%.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required; 5+ years in patient services/field reimbursement/biopharma sales.
• Experience working directly with patients/families providing education and access support.
• Orphan or Rare disease experience with patients/caregivers.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and FDA regulations.
• Ability to travel 30–50% and work in a team with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and office staff on payer access and insurance requirements.
• Assist patients with locating care sites closer to home and home dosing options.
• Identify staff who support patient coverage and access needs.
• Educate on affordability options including copay and PAPs.
• Document progress in Krystal CRM and manage case tasks.
• Maintain strong relationships with patients, caregivers, and providers.
