• Checks in/registers patients; verifies demographics/insurance; collects co-pays.
• Understands insurance plans and discusses financial responsibility with patients.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and signs necessary forms.
• May schedule appointments and provide test-prep and arrival guidance.
• Provides welcoming service; answers calls and assists patients with needs.
• Monitors EHR work queues and follows department procedures.
