Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 3 years in a fast-paced customer service role.
• Experience handling high-volume calls or in-person requests.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients in-person or by phone to collect information for records and billing.
• Verify insurance and obtain authorization for services requiring pre-certification.
• Process referrals per department procedures.
• Perform clerical tasks including phones, messages, chart processing, faxing and scanning.
• Collect deposits or set up payment arrangements as required.
• Screen for Medicaid/ ACA or financial programs and provide documentation.
• Assist team and act as subject matter expert.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
• Understand Medicare and payer compliance requirements for the served population.
