Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interview patients in person or by phone to collect information for hospital records and billing; pre-register for admissions and outpatient services.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-certifications as required.
• Process referrals, authorizations, and access related to departmental procedures.
• Perform clerical tasks including phone coverage, messaging, chart processing, faxing, and scanning.
• Collect deposits or set up payment arrangements; screen for Medicaid/ACA financial assistance and refer appropriately.
• Adhere to HIPAA and payer compliance; support performance improvement initiatives.
