Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd is seeking a part-time, PRN Patient Service Representative in the 13512 Enterprise Revenue Cycle department in Floyd Chattooga GA Arrival Emergency Department to greet patients, collect information, and support registration.

You will handle insurance verification, HIPAA compliance, and coordinate with financial advocates, delivering courteous service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and insurance tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record for patients, ensuring accuracy and no duplicates.
• Register patients, collect demographics, insurance data, and co-pays; explain procedures to ensure timely payment.
• Explain insurance basics and refer patients to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality of patient information and records.
• Coordinate appointments, cancellations, and patient guidance on arrivals and procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond to routine information requests from patients and staff.
• Manage electronic health record work queues following department processes.
