Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; patient access and billing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare/insurance processes and HIPAA/EMTALA regulations.
• Strong numerical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage flow to ensure efficient, courteous care.
• Verify demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
• Complete walk-in registrations and update patient data as needed.
• Explain patient liabilities and collect balances; arrange financial clearance when required.
• Assist patients needing financial counseling and refer to the Financial Counselor.
• Close visits: schedule follow-ups and provide necessary documents.
