Job summary

aah is looking for a part-time Registration Specialist to support the Floyd Chattooga Emergency Department. You will create the patient record, verify demographics and insurance information, and explain financial responsibilities to patients to ensure accurate billing and efficient care flow.

This PRN role requires exceptional customer service, strict HIPAA compliance, and the ability to work in a busy environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience with patient registration and insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record for patients and prevent duplicates.
• Check in patients, collect demographics, insurance info, and co-pays.
• Explain financial responsibilities and refer patients to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
