Job summary

KidMedVA is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to efficiently register patients in a fast-paced clinic. You will handle demographic and insurance data entry, greet patients, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth check-ins.

The role requires good computer skills, familiarity with EMR systems, and strong customer service and communication abilities. Prior experience with health insurance and HIPAA considerations is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in patient registration preferred.
• 1 year experience with health insurance preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Register patients with accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Serve as primary contact between patients and medical staff.
• Greet patients upon arrival with a friendly demeanor.
• Confirm insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at registration.
• Reconcile payments at end of each shift and address past-due accounts.
