Advocate Health is seeking a Front Desk Specialist for the Family Medicine department in North Carolina. The role supports patient access, verifies insurance, and handles registrations with a focus on accuracy and courtesy.

You will manage payments, assist with financial clearance, and coordinate follow-up appointments. Strong HIPAA knowledge and communication skills are essential for daily interactions with patients and staff.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Patient access experience (scheduling, registration and financial clearance) preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and HIPAA rules and regulations; EMTALA awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Greets patients and manages patient flow for efficient service.
• Verifies and updates patient demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
• Completes walk-in registrations and handles financial clearance tasks.
• Calculates and collects patient financial liability; collects past balances as needed.
• Follows financial clearance processes and refers patients to Financial Counselor when appropriate.
• Performs visit closures including scheduling follow-ups and providing necessary documents.
