Qualifications

• Ability to educate patients about insurance coverage and costs.

Responsibilities

• Creates the initial electronic health record foundation for patient care and billing.
• Checks in/registers patients, verify demographics and insurance, collects co-pays.
• Explains plans and refers patients to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and collects required patient signatures.
• Schedules appointments and provides test prep, directions and policies.
• Delivers welcoming, courteous service and answers inquiries from patients/visitors.
• Monitors EHR work queues and follows department processes.
