Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED upon hire.
• 1 year relevant experience in healthcare, patient access setting preferred, with knowledge of patient registration procedures, health insurance payers, and real-time eligibility verification.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration functions across assigned access points, ensuring accurate demographic information and insurance eligibility.
• Accurately scan, index, and manage patient documentation for registration, billing, and clinical workflows.
• Communicate patient financial responsibility using established tools and scripts, including estimates and liabilities, and collect payments when appropriate.
• Schedule, confirm, and revise patient appointments to support access to care and clinic workflows.
• Identify and resolve routine discrepancies and elevate complex issues per procedures.
• Provide patient-facing support via telephone and other approved channels, documenting interactions per standard procedures.
