Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in patient admitting, registration or insurance verification preferred.
• EPIC training/experience preferred.
• Insurance payor systems experience preferred; ICD-10 terminology experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to meet customer service responsibilities over phone, in person and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, manage preregistration and insurance verification.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain coverage and financial responsibilities.
• Handle cash collections professionally and accurately.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, in person, and in writing with empathy.
• Mentor colleagues and uphold excellence in patient service.
• Maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
