Job summary

Rancho Health in Riverside, CA is seeking a Registration Coordinator to smoothly move patients through a set appointment schedule. You will greet patients, verify insurance, handle documentation, and address inquiries to ensure a pleasant check-in/out experience.

The role requires strong communication, basic office skills, and the ability to navigate an EMR system. Bilingual Spanish is preferred in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Medical front office program completion or on-the-job training with emphasis on customer service.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Effective communication with patients and staff in person and over the phone.
• Basic office skills such as typing, transferring calls, faxing, etc.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and computer work.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and acknowledge them on entrance.
• Answer and route multiple phone lines and check voicemails.
• Process patient payments via credit card or cash and balance cash drawer daily.
• Schedule, reschedule and confirm appointments.
• Verify patient insurance across multiple websites.
• Assist with patient check-out and provide necessary paperwork (labs, orders).
• Maintain task lists and work with others to complete duties.
• Ensure demographics and paperwork are accurate before care begins.
• Keep patients on schedule and communicate delays to back-office.
• Assist distressed patients and troubleshoot requests.
