Responsibilities

• Identifies patients by using proper method of retrieving patient history/information, avoiding duplicate Medical Records.
• Registers patients and maintains compliance according to departmental guidelines.
• Reviews insurance eligibility and verifies coverage before service.
• Collects co-pays/deductibles and provides receipts to patients.
• Ensures HIPAA information and required signatures are collected for services.
• Performs daily cash balancing per department guidelines, if applicable.
• Coordinates and assists staff to register patients timely.
• Answers and routes incoming calls and messages.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
