Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Medical front office program completion or on-the-job training with emphasis on customer service.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Effective communication with patients and staff in person and over the phone.
• Basic office skills: typing, transferring calls, faxing.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly.
• Answer and direct multiple phone lines promptly.
• Process patient payments by credit card or cash and balance drawer daily.
• Schedule, reschedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Verify insurances across multiple websites.
• Assist with patient check-out and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain demographics and necessary paperwork before patient is seen.
• Keep reception area neat and organized.
• Communicate delays to back-office and support timely care.
• Perform other front office duties as assigned.
