Job summary

You will verify demographics, explain insurance benefits, collect co-pays, and support revenue-cycle activities while maintaining privacy and accuracy.

The role requires strong data-entry skills, clear communication, and the ability to work flexibly across payer types in a hospital or clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience in hospital/clinic front desk, registration, or revenue cycle is noted.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and payer guidelines is important.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests in person or by phone.
• Initiate scheduling and complete patient check-in/admission processes.
• Verify demographic data and assist in maintaining accurate medical records.
• Explain insurance benefits and collect co-pays/deductibles/self-pay.
• Perform financial analysis and communicate patient financial responsibilities.
• Balance cash drawer and handle end-of-shift deposits.
• Maintain professionalism and support multiple functions across patient and payer types.
