Job summary

Responsibilities

• Conducts interviews with patients in person or by phone.
• Obtains accurate demographic and financial information.
• Collects co-pays and processes registrations for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Performs ICD(X) coding and medical necessity screening with physicians.
• Prepares forms, patient cards and ID bracelets; disseminates information across departments.
• Ensures proper documentation for each patient visit based on visit type.
• Maintains performance in customer service, teamwork and resource use.
