Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and math reasoning.
• Good keyboarding skills and computer experience.
• Ability to learn quickly and handle multiple tasks calmly.
• Follow oral and written instructions and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to listen, communicate effectively, and work in a team.

Responsabilités

• Conducts interviews with patients in person or by phone.
• Obtains accurate demographic and financial information.
• Collects co-pays.
• Performs ICD(X) coding.
• Performs medical necessity screening and coordinates with physician offices.
• Prepares forms, patient cards, and ID bracelets.
• Disseminates information from other departments, physicians, and patients.
• Prepares documentation for each patient visit based on visit type.
• Meets performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, and resource use.
• Performs other duties to ensure smooth department operations.
