Qualifications

• 0-2 years of healthcare registration or front desk experience.
• Post-secondary education in medical office administration preferred.
• Familiarity with patient scheduling and insurance verification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients and families to address questions and provide courteous, timely assistance.
• Regulates schedules based on procedure requirements, physician availability, and staffing needs.
• Schedules patient procedures and pre-registers by obtaining accurate demographic information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility using designated applications and captures correct health insurance details.
• Collects and records patient financial responsibility estimates as applicable.
• Communicates operative reports daily to appropriate physician offices.
• Compiles and organizes registration documentation to ensure completion of patient records.
