Job summary

This role requires meticulous data entry, strong customer service, and ability to explain insurance coverage to patients while coordinating with physicians and staff. A High School Graduate is required; no prior experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Creates the initial electronic health record foundation used by the care team.
• Checks in and registers patients; verifies demographics and insurance information; discusses co-pays.
• Discusses financial information and when to refer to Financial Advocates.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, and related notices.
• May schedule appointments and communicate test prep and logistics to patients.
• Greets patients, answers calls, and assists with transportation or interpreter needs.
• Monitors and processes electronic health record work queues.
