Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents patient interviews to obtain demographic and financial data for registration, insurance verification, precertification and billing.
• Registers patients at multiple locations and works in different department areas, improving revenue cycle functions and patient experience.
• Verifies patient eligibility for insurance coverage and determines patient dues per policies; explains deposits and negotiates payment arrangements.
• Assists patients to nursing units by providing directions and mobility assistance when applicable.
• Escalates service issues to management to ensure patient satisfaction and compliance with policies.
