Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Access Services Representative 1 to collect accurate demographics and insurance data during patient registration and to assist with billing and financial responsibilities across locations.

The role requires strong communication, empathy and professional telephone etiquette, with duties including eligibility verification, scheduling support and coordination within patient care teams.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED.
• Less than 1 year of experience specified in job ad.
• Requires good listening and communication skills.
• Professional telephone etiquette is expected.
• Basic data entry, typing and computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients at multiple locations and verify demographics and insurance.
• Identify process improvements to promote team concepts and improve revenue cycle.
• Explain patient financial responsibilities and collect deposits per policy.
• Escalate service issues to management when needed.
• Assist patients with directions and mobility within the facility.
