• Excellent data entry, numeric, typing and computer navigational skills.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
• Strong empathy and ability to work under stress in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Collects demographics and insurance information for patient registration and financial responsibilities.
• Verifies insurance benefits and collects patient financial responsibilities.
• Cross-trains and serves as a mentor or trainer for peers.
• Interacts with other departments to manage delays, scheduling, and revenue cycle improvements.
• Escalates service issues to management when necessary and adheres to compliance standards.
