Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to collect demographic and financial data for registration and billing.
• Register patients at multiple locations and departments, improving revenue cycle processes.
• Verify insurance eligibility and determine patient liabilities; establish deposits and arrange payments.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with patients as needed.
• Assist patients to nursing units with directions and mobility when applicable.
• Escalate service issues to management when necessary.
