Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage registration for patients in outpatient and Emergency Department settings. You will verify demographics, insurance, and orders while guiding patients through the journey.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, excellent customer service, and collaboration with clinical and revenue cycle teams. Prior experience with Epic is preferred, and travel between campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and validate patients in the hospital information system to maintain EMR accuracy.
• Cross train in all areas of location or region, including outpatient and ED.
• Greet and direct patients and visitors, providing friendly, courteous service.
• Answer internal and external calls and provide information about the facility and services.
• Promote MyChart patient portal and self-service tools to engage patients in their care.
