Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to perform patient registration and admitting activities across hospital access points, ensuring accurate demographic, insurance, and account information in the EHR.

You will communicate with patients, verify eligibility, schedule appointments, collect payments when appropriate, and support the care team during high-volume periods while upholding privacy and regulatory standards.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required at hire.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare or patient access experience.
• Experience with insurance eligibility verification preferred.

• Perform patient registration and admitting across hospital access points, ensuring accurate demographic, insurance, and account information in the EHR.
• Accurately scan, index, and manage patient documentation to support registration, billing, and clinical workflows.
• Communicate patient financial responsibility using education tools and scripts, including estimates and patient liabilities, and collect payments when appropriate.
• Schedule, confirm, and revise patient appointments to support timely access to care and adherence to workflows.
• Identify and resolve routine discrepancies; elevate complex issues per procedures.
• Provide patient-facing support via telephone and other approved channels and document interactions.
